It's spring here on our little place; the grass is green and the flowers are starting to bloom! I am so relieved the long winter is over but with spring comes the threat of tornadoes. Last summer my son and I had a close call with a tornado; it came within a mile of our house well...actually...we were in the process of moving and half of our things was in one house and half in the other and can you believe that BOTH houses were missed within a mile by a tornado! It was even on the same day! We decided that maybe mother nature might be out to get us :) so we invested in a tornado shelter. I feel a lot safer knowing I have a place to go to. Anyway, after living in town and small cities most of my life moving here was like a dream! I've always been partial to being in the country you can see so much more of the sky and it just feels like you can breath a lot easier in the country. So, I will be sharing or probably boring you with stories and trials of our life here on Cottonwood road.
Here is a picture of our storm shelter. You have no idea how much of a relief it is to have this now.
